I resolved never to be in the same room as him again.  His unmoving watching for those agonising two hours had done something to my peace of mind, and I knew he was the only male on the surface of the planet I wasn’t sure I could outwit or outplay.

Adam was a gentleman, to me at least, that evening.  The three of us went out to dinner (all my protestations that I was too busy having been quashed by Anna in an awkward conversation across my threshold, while he held her hand and never took his eyes off my face), and from the moment we left the halls of residence he placed himself carefully between us, forcing Anna to walk on the outside while maintaining an stony, almost perfect silence.

Hello, everyone!

I have been gone a terribly, terribly long time, but I am back, and full of beans and enthusiasm and joy :) Here's what I've been up to for the three terms of my first year of University:

Michaelmas (first) term: OH GOD HELP THERE IS SO MUCH WORK AND SO MUCH SETTLING IN TO DO AND OH LORD WHY DID I AGREE TO DO CONCERTS BACK HOME IT'S SUCH A LONG WAY AWAY AND HOWEVER AM I GOING TO GET ALL THIS DONE?

Lent (second) term: Oh, yay, I have fallen in love. Oh, bother, with someone who loves someone else.

Easter (third) term: Hah...mysteriously dating said person. Oh, yes, and exams.

It is now the holiday! I shall be going through your deviations (...some of them a *year old*, I'm so sorry) and commenting and probably not uploading because I've simply not written anything. But hi, again, everyone!
